Desire

~ purr_verse ~

I hunger for your darkgift luminescent
with passion crazed and frenzied for the feast
Bacchanalian euphonic sights of glory
Devour me with worldwords, beauty's beast

Drip nepenthe's kiss again upon me, artist
Arcadia's gates fall open, and I sigh
in rapture so relentless, so resplendent,
Entwine me with your craft and vivify

all my soul desires reflected in your visions
Arabesque dart-dance your words across my heart
For signatory splendour, none can touch you
Magnificent creator: bring me art.

There is some excellent word play in this piece. I was quite taken aback by "Devour me with worldwords". It speaks to me on a level with is familiar to me. Keep them coming to keep me entertained.

you may very well be the most intellectually stylized poet on DP. weaving emotion through hand-picked words that would be lost in any other context. brava!
