My words fell asleep
so I wandered in search of
glades of new brilliance

I quested for form;
seeking sonnets and wildsong
in wordforests but

cinquain and quatrain
teased elusive and wilful;
I could not dance and

on my poetry
expedition I just sank
into mere hike ooze.

Very clever indeed. the idea of "seeking sonnets and wildsong in wordforests" is the most amazing thing i've ever heard to describe how i feel on far too few occasions but certainly HAVE felt. I love it. Most definitely. --Jes

"cinquain and quatrain" Love the jazz, & the "hike ooze" Haiku. Lovely wordwonderment, as always. Very clever. Love the 5.7.5 syllable/meter (even w/ the ending 4)... well crafted. If only there were "wordforests" we could write & wander in... Well done.

"...he ending 4" ARGH! Bugger! I can't add. *sob* Dammit, I have to fix that. I'll come back when I've grown a clue. Thank you, though - now THAT is constructive criticism, lol.

ahhh....clever dance in haiku "hike ooze" format with syallable brilliance for a finale....that showcases poetry's ability to break and make words as new...love the teasing poetry-writing theme being a clash of inspiration...classy :)
