did you love yourself
when you raised that fist?
when she had nothing there
to fight back with?

did you love yourself
when you spat those words?
when you made her believe
that she deserved this hurt?

when you laid her on the bed
and you fucked her every scar
when you made her feel alone
tell me, how far is too far?

when you took her to the hospital
and they listened to her lie
when you watched her hide her bruises
and you heard her screams and cries

when you told her you were sorry
but she made you act that way
when you told her she was worthless
- she still lives with that today

when you let her fuck other people
so that you could get your drugs
when you watched her with her trackmarks
tell me, did that make you feel good?

when you watched her innocence dying
and you watched her wreck her life
when you watched her being sick in the bathroom
and her body lying next to that knife

so tell me that you love yourself
now that she can't stand her reflection
now that she can't even look at herself
go on and tell me you're perfection

so tell me that you love yourself
now that it hurts her to even breathe
after everything you've said and done
i hope you're fucking happy.

Im glad this was on someones favorites list. I hate people like this who put other people through shit they don't deserve. This was very powerful. Good to know there's still people out there who feel as I feel on this subject.

Yes indeed, my identitical counter-part made a point. A person like this doesn't deserve death, but a lifetime of suffering thousands of times worse than the suffering he has subjected others to. I'd volunteer to throw this scum through a couple of wall

You know, I have a hard time commenting on your poetry, because I'm split right down the middle between with your style, which I find impeccable (sp?), and your message, which tears my heart out every single time....

Fuck, I've never felt so much anger after just reading something!!! Death is too good for a human being who treats another like that. Fantastic work---jer

The only thing that threw me off was the sixth stanza...there was a break in the rhyme scheme...but besides that...I thought this was amazing. I love the rhythm and the point of the poem.
