I tasted your fear, as you died in my arms
You convinced me you wanted this
as you clung to my arm
You looked up at me longlingly
your eyes begged for my eternal kiss

You wanted release
you wanted to be free
you wanted power
you wanted eternity

I have given you everything
except the freedom you so desire,
you are mine now, your lifeless heart burning with my soul's fire
Though enslaved to me, you have been freed from your funeral pyre

Is it all you expected
It will never be
you will always want more
I have drained life , innocence
and made you a blood thirsty whore

I tasted you as you died
It tasted like you changed your mind
It was too late, then, to decide
now you will always be mine

Go now my child
use your new eyes
spread your new wings
learn how to fly

Pretend you are powerful
Pretend you are free
but do not forget
you will always belong to me

Awesome write, very well done. Maybe in the third stanza the last two lines should be broken up into two lines apiece. I think it would help the rhythm of your poem.
