Now only Memories

Thoughts of you running through my mind
We were the best of friends, you were like one of a kind
I could tell you everything and you never judged me,
you would hug me tight, telling me everything was gonna be alright
you would call even if it was just to say hi
I was happy when I was around you, you could take everything bad away
As time went on something happened between us
What happened to us? It seems it has all faded away
U didn't seem like yourself anymore
I tried calling but now it seems you're never there
We barely see each other or talk anymore
When we do talk, you promise me you'll call or we'll go hang out
But those promises you make always get broken
I hate who you've become; all I want is for you and me to be best friends
Like we always were, these happy memories I have of you and me
Are now only memories
