I don’t care what time it is
There is a razor blade
Balancing upon my lips
Tell me something awful
Show me some more pain
So I can cut my own throat
With the words you speak
Words sneak in and slice
Deeply… sometimes mortally
Before anyone even knows
That someone was under attack
Do you want to wound me?
Then suddenly spout
Your opinions, no matter
The effect they have
Then be prepared
For blood will be spilled
Because everything has an effect
We all do what we have to
To live to see tomorrow
Must you hurt someone else
To get there, to make it
Yeah, I know me too
We do whatever it takes
To get to that dream
Of being happy and free
Without ever really being
Happy and Free

those words you scorch into my soul each day... what blooded syllables run from your tongue... what incantations evocations, what casual calamities and caustic tones flow freely from never healing wounds... so true...
