Dear Husband,

Please, listen to my voice
Let my words sink in
I am begging and pleading
My soul is slowly dying
Inside I am nothing
Except a mass of shivering flesh
Do you not know that I love you?
And that your words hurt
More than anyone else’s?
What more do you need to see
Besides an instinctive flinch?
I have tried everything
But my quivering voice
Isn’t penetrating your angry shell
Tears fall writing your name
Sending me into oblivion
While the spirit inside me rots
I slowly realize my fate
While the last shred of me
Screams in agonizing defeat
I humbly bow before you again
Telling the world my shame

Love me,
The wife with no name

So sad.... You always have a name, and no one dictates our lives but us. You are not a ghost, never allow yourself to be one.
