Standing outside as the fog surrounds me
But the blue gray moon still fills the night
And in this haze I can finally see
In a rare moment of insight
When suddenly life makes sense
With no apparent reason why
An over whelming feeling so intense
One of the worlds biggest mysteries suddenly demystified
A feeling one can’t explain
As the memories of the past are recalled
Every tear and pain
The ups and downs remembering all
Finally understanding what life is about
A test of character
Trials, tribulations, and much self doubt
That teach one about them self and ultimately make them better
Hardships are eternally present
And an evil that is necessary
That one can choose to embrace, ignore, or resent
But all can be overcome no matter how impossible it may seem
Sometimes our deepest angst
Can be a blessing in disguise
Only serving to give us strength
And let us know that we are alive
Sometimes we feel alone
Like hard times will never end
And we don’t know how to cope
So we need something to believe in
To have a dream
Of someone to be by our side
To give the support we need
Hold us when we cry
To be with you for the ups and downs
A true love, but more than that a soul mate
Someone whose eyes lock on yours and turn your world around
And that is when you realize
That problems come and problems go
But that is part of life
Anything can happen but until it does you don’t know
When you find that one person
And you have no doubt
That they are THE ONE
You suddenly figure life out
The problems will never cease
But your comfort will always be there
And you know you will make it through anything
That all people are the same
No matter how they look or act
We still have problems every day
And learn from things done in the past
All of a sudden this great mystery
Never really was
And the only real mystery
Is the power of love.
