Alone, I
Walking under street lights trying to find my dying aura
looking past bronzed ducklings and crack-pipe torched lighters
tears streaking the night sky looking for falling stars
"I can relate, 5 sided and uneven in every way" I cried cried cried.

Empty, I
Searching the city skyline for a new reflection to pray to
loosing a soul to gain an enemy marked scar by scar
steamboats in hot showers fogging up reality and blurring truth
whatever makes you sleep better at night while I bleed bleed bleed.

Decaying, I
Tripping upon shattered cliffs and crashing tidal waves avoiding touch
can see my demise upon rocks down below but eyes cannot look away
ghosts whisper "girl, can you still feel what you hold dear?"
body trembling with hurt and betrayal so i shall jump jump jump.

Fading, I
Memories tempting to bring back life but sad at long last
music still flooding the brain and ringing ever true through stubborn ears
eyes looking their last upon dreams of past lovers and true love lost
to breathe one final free breath is to live live live.
