missed it
thought against gut feeling
fake faces frowned
thinking perhaps senses had been reached
going against right
always holding hands with wrong
words spoken across invisible lines
smiling to impress depression

missed again
thought against gut feeling once more
fake faces frowned harder
thinking a million dreams coming true
going against how it really is
always holding hands with a thin hope
words spewed through blue airwaves
smiling to impress suicide

nothing to miss now
waiting despite gut feelings
fake faces turned away
right and wrong is over rated
always holding hands with the softest illusion
imaginary words spewed and spoken but nothing is said
smiling to suppress blood and tears and buried dreams

... Dress up all you want ... denial suits you best ...
