I feel like exploding,
Teetering over the edge...
When desperation is a solace
And there's no peace in rest
When sleep is a ghost and the world melts away
To sirens in the early dawn light
Another day, another day...

Searching for the answers
That never seem so clear,
Why...
Why must they disappear?

A shudder down my spine,
A cold wind, ice,
Runs through my heart
Anger is the fire
That soothes me
Cuddles me
Unfreezes my cold eyes

Searching for the answers
That will never dwell behind my eyes
Finding solace in
Anger, Another armful of lies....

I give myself over to ice,
The cold river down below
No rest for the wicked.

These chains and fetters
Bind me to mortal remains,
Threads cut and tattered
By lack of self restraint.

I feel like exploding,
A marrionette of bloody carnage,
A grenade of indifference...
Waiting for the pin to be pulled.
