You will see me again
With lead hands and still feet
Hair waving with the wind
At the sea shore once more;
You will see me again
In the reflection of the pond,
Warm smile and clouded eyes
Alight with a peace few may know-
I promised you this,
That I would give you every drop
Of love and hope, compassion,
My heart could wring for you.
You will finally see me again
Free of constricting bonds
That hold me so close to the edge,
That bind me to that which I cannot find-
You will see me again,
With wings of the blackest night
And tears of the purest white-
A man of subtle nuetrality.
You will see me again
When you look up at the clouds
And whisper my name to the heavens
To hear the wind whisper back;
You will feel me again
As a ghost of my former self
Slips in to your room tonight
To give you one last kiss goodbye.
Just maybe...
You will see me again
At the clearing at the end of the path,
To hold you forever-
And walk into the sunset of heaven.
