A blind man sees but doesn't look
He imagines and envisions
All that is around him
A blind man is like a little boy
Anxious and curious
To know what surrounds him
He opens his eyes but doesn't see
He takes a look but has no idea of what is there
I've been a blind man all my life
Imagining what lies ahead
I've been a blind man before
Not able to see the truth
I am a blind man now
Trapped in darkness for days to come
A little boy I am inside
Anxious and curious to find the truth
When did I close my eyes?
When will I be able to see?
Not today nor tomorrow
Maybe yesterday but it has passed
All I know now and seem to believe
Is what a blind man looked at,
Without imagining it this way,
What he never saw.......

.
.
.
A blind man looks but doesn't see
All that is around him

This is sincere and honest...heartbreaking to read...I think we all are a little blind, in some way or another...evocative piece...and you can always look through my eyes.

This reminds me of a quote.. "Everything was dark - because my eyes were closed." - Lovely.
