I fell asleep and dreamt a dream so deep, I feared waking only to see some contradictory reality.
Because, with my eyes closed I grew fond of images posed before my mind’s eye like sweet lullabies cast on the ears of babes to stop their tears.
And of these images, I saw You.

You,
Were the one lifted on wings of white from a curse that had blocked out the light until All was dark and I could not see
You.
But here, You had taken flight.

I saw myself too uncovered clearly and rewired dearly to original settings
And with a precision so grand, I saw All Things perched atop a mountain of sand, and slowly as a breeze came through it took the sand and flew until all was covered evenly;
From the Land to the Sea,
From You to Me,
And All that was in-between.
All part of the same mountain that had conquered us.
And every image was harmonious.

I fell asleep and dreamt a dream so deep I feared waking only to see some painful reality.
Because within my mind, displayed for me to find were images that lined every corridor to remind me what it is I’m living for.
And behind one of those doors, I found You.

You, stripped of all that had once vexed.

And Me, free of all that had once perplexed.

And just before the images began to wither in the light of the morning and fall, I took one last breath of perfection and saw that I had fixed it all.
But it all began to dissolve slowly into just another precious memory, until reality manifested before my eyes and quietly whispered me back into my place.

I cannot control all.
I am not the omnipotent one.
I will not save the small.
I cannot undo what has been done.
But will I find before the fall,
That which will stop what has begun?
