I'm sick of walking through this life
Being patronized and challenged by everyone that walks by.
You can't convert me.
I'll never believe your blind lies.
Your brains been warped, baby,
But you can't get mine.
Every shmuck that runs into me,
that pushes me, front-on,
Must feel obligated to offend me with their ignorance.
Well just shut those lips, hun, to do me a favor.
Do yourself one too.
Just walk away and save your breath, baby,
because I've heard this junk over and over
Through and through.
You're right,
I'm wrong.
You conform,
I don't.
You're just like every other human I've come across.
Don't worry
I get it all the time.
So don't feel bad that you forgot to sneer at me.
I must be totally obscure if I'm that hard for you to understand.
Being a feminist does not make me a lesbian.
Hating the government does not make me an anarchist.
Just wanting to love and get along does not make me a hippie.
And wanting to be free will never make me a radical.
Don't catagorize me doll.
So next time I walk down the street,
Try somthing different.
Telling me I'm wrong is futile,
Because no matter how often you critisize me,
I'll never replay it in my brain.
It means nothing to me, so stop wasting my time.
Just let me hear somthing I don't hear everyday babe.
Let me experiance somthing so true it will take my breath away babe.
Give me words to better my life.
Tell me somthing that will strengthen my morals.
Let me feel zen.
Let me find meaning.
Let me achieve happiness.
Open up my eyes,
Just enlighten me beautiful.
