I have been dwelling in the silence
Listening to your voice
Speak soothing murmurs of understanding
Bleeding to your words
Running so gently from my body
-
I have been so moved,
By an ethereal around me
With a longing to consume
What my heart feels is still arriving
-
But in a winter sun,
In an early evening,
My thoughts give to rest
To another dreadful day
Of my continuing search for you
-
By the frozen lake, at night,
Where my tears do not ripple
The peacefulness of the cold
Crystallizing so beautifully,
Like those pictures of the past,
Inside the chill of my soul
-
For the visions of us
Are but another element in the world
Like the fire that drives me
Like the wind that drags me across the earth....
