My savior from lonely nights
With my mind at peace, can I be yours?

You sneak up on me with that cheshire smile
Stare me in the eye, and dare me to keep going

 Silver against the darkest navy
 Your beauty is inexpressionable

I'll love you till i die and beyond.

You hide, as I hide
And I'm not your only one
Dear friend just know, you mean so much ...

I confide in you my darkest secrets
With you, I share my tears

You're ever-forgiving, and you rescue me more nights than you'll ever know

For this, I thank you eternally.

                                    Dear Moon

I enjoyed this...to give the moon personificating traits...and leave up o the end to conceit it as a comforting lover...yeah, not half bad, a nice idea and well executed, Col.
