"Kill the spider"

Anyone who's arachnophobic might sympathize with me on this one. It's also a true story as well. The actual scene was during my tour in Korea, in our barracks. All sorts of the ugly critters would infest--yes, INFEST--the barracks, and they had their own little grotto thing going on in the laundry room. Aerosol can, and lighter were my only weapons, other than the inch-thick sole of my Army boot. And if I did have to stomp --heaven forbid-- Everyone in the barracks heard it. The Sergeant in command of me still believes I was trying to burn the barracks down--I gather he wasn't afraid of spiders.
