Go ahead
Unclench your hands
Release your grasp
I will slip on through
Between your fingers
Like the sand I am
Then land upon the beach
And wash away
With every wave
But when you look down
At empty palms
When I am gone
Do not get on your knees
To dig for more
For any grain of sand of mine
You threw away
Do not search
For what had been
You will never find sand
Like me again.
