Stop blaming God,
For what's been done,
It's not His fault,
You've lost, not won,

Don't curse His name,
When life gets cold,
It's fellow man's,
Whose lies are told,

Senseless neighbors,
We're told to love,
Releasing hawks,
To kill the doves,

We had a world,
Now torn apart,
It's sad God watched,
Us smash His art,

I'm sure He cares,
Agree or fuss,
But He won't live,
Our lives for us.

Very true, The Divine can not, will not run our lives. And those who think otherwise are fools. Well done, this was created with a eye for the truth and a touch of beauty.

The poem is wonderful, even though I wonder if it would be fair to thank God for all the good in the world, but not blame him for the bad? (no faith in humanity at all?) The poem is wonderful nonetheless!

This poem is a GREAT write and read, as well. I personally do not believe in god, but when you have a poem as well written as this, it does not matter. I congragulate you for your ability. =-MO-=

On Tuesday February 3rd, 2004, Sharon Rose (639) writes:
how can you blame something that you see as fictional? blame yourself for the situations you put yourself in, blame others for the things they do to wreck the world, but to blame something that you don't even believe in is the height of illogic...

wonderfully expressed...I don't follow that religion, but I agree and I heard once "we push Him out of our schools and society, and when things go wrong, we ask 'where has he gone?'" *~seraph~*

That's right it wasnt his fault any more than its Dr Seuss's. (Both fictional charas to me) Only we can lift our own hand in destruction. Nice flow here and great content, Even if god or his blame isn't my cup of tea. Blessed be! *Vel*

On Thursday January 22nd, 2004, braindead_poet (581) writes:
amen to that. God-loving or not, we have only ourselves and the rest of mankind to blame for our stupidity. Blaming it on God is the easy way out; Scape Goat... you make the mess, someone else take the fall
