This is a repost:

Lost once upon a time
And losing once again
It's all relative, really
There's no land in sight
But I'm still floating

This must be the comfort in being alone

At least I can't take anyone down with me
If I start sinking
That would be the real tragedy
And there are enough of those for one planet
Without my own contributions

Just know that if you grow to hate the world
The world will grow to hate you back

If there's anything I've learned
In my little time upon the Earth
It's that you can keep your friends close
And your enemies closer
But you're still no match for yourself
