God never knew a man
But it smiled nonetheless
It devised its own galactic plan
And made the Earth to bless

Sure it loves us
At least it tries
A wish amidst a star and dust
Even God has doubt behind his eyes

Between an atom and a planet
The constructor came so close
One look at Earth's inhabitants
And its attempt becomes morose

We'll fuck and kill forever
Until we hate each other more
And those determined to be clever
Decide to kill us all

And so it's left with such
As is to be expected
When one is left to dream too much
And reality's neglected

So God shall stay alone
In his prison universe
With all time upon his throne
To exist becomes a curse.

I love the line,"even God has doubt behind his eyes," and i like the way God is an "it" throughout most of this. the rhyme works well for satire and parody--as I think the stalker said somewhere--and the biting tone was much fun... I can envision existence becoming a curse, mortality is grand. thanks!
