What sorrows could brush
thine lips
and leave you trembling
in so much ecstasy and terror
like thoughts of imminent decay
and the deepening wrinkles of time
dusted over your aging features

and watch yourself grow old
fear the onslaught of reality and despair
for everything has a beginning and
without exception everything has an end
here you sit now reading my words
but someday
...someday you will be dead
someday you will be forgotten
buried, burned, lost and gone
and how mind numbing it seems
that though you can sit
mind racing with thoughts in a constant blur of your life
and days gone bye
that someday your mind will grind slowly to
a permanent halt
and you shall cease to be
never to think
or see
or hear
or create
ever again

so unto you i submit this suggestion

right here, and right now

think beyond any sadness you have and find your ray of sunshine
go and look past all the barriers and explore until you have seen your fill

open your ears to the beautiful sounds of life that fill every moment with music

create something, something to last beyond your mortal years and leave people breathless long after you are dead and gone

live now, you will not have a second chance

each moment that passes
is a moment you could have spent living
and to be so full of sadness and sorrow
tears and pain

because of whats not fair
whats not to gain
what hurts or leaves scars
what bleeds and aches
or whats lost

but whats lost is lost and your left with a choice
you can live, and make your own life an experience, and adventure a story worth telling, an existence worthy of remembrance,

or you can die, rot away as a wounded frail and timid animal drowning in their own insecurity and hopelessness

...Go live a little, i promise its not so bad.

Okay, I agree with you... But for those of us who have done that, realized all our dreams, pushed beyond our limits, and every experience is now nothing but ash... What do you say for us?

I say that i WAS you, i am you, i found a way out i found my way through. and i know that people so deep in sorrow dont want to hear people telling them to be happy...it just makes things worse, no one .can help you, you just have to ind your way on your own, i learned that the hard way...but the only thing stopping you from healing and happiness is yourself, and thats the truth....its a hard pill to swallow i admit...but its true

The sounds waver, but they never die. My mark is left from the scream I gave when I visited the Grand Canyon.

...and from the whispers I made saying each line of this poem softly to myself as I read it.
