be still mine heart, for him, dont ache
your wearing thin, from my minds mistakes
and without thee, my life seems grim
so be still mine heart, and break not for him

be still mine thoughts, forget him now
put away those longings,
...and let him out
over and over, memories of him play
so be still mine thoughts, and put him away

be still mine eyes, and weep no more
the sorrow seems lighter, then it did before
let it go, let him fade, let the sorrow dim
be still mine eyes, and weep no more, weep no more for him...

be still mine heart, for him dont fret
be still mine tattered soul
contract and spasm in my chest
i try, but feel so cold

be still mine trembling, thoughtless finger
pressed against a ready trigger
be still mine self
be still

inhale exhale, be still mine heart
lest you be lost for beating
be still mine thoughts its hopless now
be still, and stop your pleading

be still mine fear your useless now
save for the shocking thrill
pull the trigger, face down, love!
i am still now.

i am still.

Lydia, without a doubt, you are my favorite poet... Do me a favor - write a book, so that I can carry it around with me everywhere like a bible ;) Really though, you always seem to lighten my heart, just to be reminded I'm not alone, and you give me something to aspire to.

Ouch. That awkward state of mind after a break up. I don't think it gets much worse. Nicely said.

Not a break up, just...a love that was impossibel, the unatainable. but i can understand how it would work for a break up. /Jade\
