Set aflame my folded wings
where once my sad heart beat
just ashes now and dust to dust
all fallen at my feet

i remember once before
and time and time again
but remembrance is a fleeting cure
a sad world of pretend

i have seen the lights blink out
the tears within youre eyes
i have seen a world reborn
and i have watched it die

And my world is on fire
but i watch becuse i must

my last hope

 has gone into the flames
just ashes now and dust to dust

This is beautiful in a saddening way. Very heartfelt and depressing. Left me feeling mellow or, was that the smoke in the air? ][ ][
