deliberation, uncertain forsaken souls
twisted into marionettes
hooked imprisoned
painted tears
envoke empathetic sighs
and they gather round
to watch you dance
to watch you sway
...to hear your song

And so you sing
and sorrows verse is intangible
and your naked truth is inconceivable
weep not my bitter doll
i worry you'll smear the paint

strings cut
dropped emptied forgotten
delayed thoughts tick and time echoes back
but no voice is carried on those
sound waves
no voice
is carried back
