This is a poem about stars…

Those blazing spheres so delicately hung in the midnight canopy. So elegantly dangling far beyond our reach. You know you want to touch one, even if you are afraid you might
get burned…

This is a poem about yearnings…

Those turbulent emotions welling up into one single melting pot within you. Fighting a losing battle to survive it just goes without much saying. You know you want to touch me, even if you are afraid it will all boil over…

This is a poem about smiles...

Those cute little turns of the corner of my mouth that never seem to appear. Don’t blink or you just might miss it! You know you’ll stick around to catch it, even if you’re afraid
it will never take shape…

This is a poem about friendship...

Those moments where you sit together on the front porch swing and neither of you say a word. Yet, by the time you leave it’s the best conversation you’ve ever had. You know you won’t break the silence, even if you’re afraid you’ll never hear my voice again…

This is a poem about love...

Those final hurdles that test your faith in the one you choose as your own. Just waiting for that day when you can finally be as one. You know you’ve got to make the leap, even if you’re afraid you will fall…

This is a poem about stars...

Those adorable little flecks that I find within your eyes. I can see them sparkle the most in my mind. I know that this is a risk I am strong enough to take, because I am not afraid… that deep down… this time I won’t…be…burned.

This poem embodies everything you are, a star, something people yearn for, the smiles you create, and the love that burns deep inside all of those who really get to know you. An inspiration is more adequate of a description.

Damn Crystal...this was like taking a journy that you've traveled, and reliving your joys and pains. It sent chills down my spine while warming my heart. A very nice piece....to say the very least.
