The icy sting of tears,
tears across my face again.
All too many times,
I lie alone,
I cry alone.
I hide my eyes,
so they won't see
the emptiness inside of me.
I bury my face
in the crypts of my hands again.
All too many memories,
They haunt me, and taunt me.
I hide my eyes,
so they won't see
the joys that don't belong to me.
I'm trapped!
Walled up inside myself again.
Oh, so few ways to escape.
They lock me in,
and mock my sin.

encased with fear, my heart is sealed.

In the wrong direction.
Led by deception.
I hide my scars,
so no one knows
how I endure all these woes.
I collapse and realize what I am again.

I see my face,
and feel disgraced.
I hide my mirrors,
so I wont see,
the horror that is known as me.

The cycle repeats itself again.
I'm a one-man army,
waging war against myself.
Staying distant from everyone else.
I don't have to hide myself.
No one wants to see.
