cold eyes
staring hard at nothing
he tosses me a light
bare responses
gather in the dusk
one adding on to
the other, then another
adding up to nothing
going nowhere
a fixed gaze
a set jaw
a closed mind
nothing remains
but his empty
broken promises
Lies Lies Lies
it all adds up
to nothing in the end
and i walk away
disappointed again
