Polly Pocket had a sister.
They keep her in the closet.
In the night when they sing along
She brings a needle from her shoe and
Slices her tiny pocket-sized wrists
Rainbow Bright had a little brother
They didn't show on t.v.
His ribs were bruised and broken
From the boots on Rainbow's feet
In the night when they all go to sleep
He takes his sharp nail
And slices his rainbow colored eyes
I had a dream like any other
Except for when I saw that brother
And I saw the sister too
Sliced and bleeding just like you
In my dream I didn't exist
And they did
Wasn't that a switch?
Who hides the needles in your pocket?
Who tries to steal your eyes from their sockets?
Doesn't it make you want to cry
To watch the little children die?
Turn out the lights,
Don't let them see
The horrid faces inside of me.
Let's all pretend to be ok
And save the reruns from truth's decay.
