  she sits on her perch
  so sad so alone
  nothing can satisfy
  her shadowed soul

she doesn't know I hear her sadness in a breath of wind
...I feel her tears drip from the leaves
...I share her empty smiles to the stars
...I want to kiss the pain from her soul

                             she conjures the darkness
                             with a bittersweet incantation
                             the softness of her voice
                             ripples through my heart

I can't give her the world
               I can't summon the moon
I wish to show her the light
But she can't see past the gloom

-she doesn't know she breaks my heart with every sigh-

This is a great write Old, it's so tortureous when we're reduced to just watching when we want to interact. It's so easy to relate to and wrapped up in a nice poetic package, good job.

Living with it is hard, living with some one else with it...is worse. Exasperating, frusterating, hopeless...it's so hard. You've given a wrenching portrayal of such an expereince. I agree, the last line really ties it all together.~JMDW~
