I was an angel,
But have fallen from grace.
I try to get up,
When I see Jesus' face.

My feathers fell out,
one at a time,
For everything I did wrong,
Considered a crime.

Jesus told me,
I could get back my wings,
If I straighten my ways,
And do all good things.

So here I am,
Paying the price,
Even angels,
Sometimes have to look twice.

I have done my good deeds,
As now I sit here and sing,
Cause Jesus told me,
To wait for my new wings.
