I wrote something today.
Not on paper,
that would be too easy,
but on the corners of my mind.

(You know those corners that you can't even get to with a vacuum)

Wrote it on the walls of time for all to see,
but no one noticed;
Walked on by humming their own tunes.
Writing their own stories on walls untouched.

I really did write something today.
Wrote it for you.
For all the times we spent talking.
Hours lost and only found with laughter
and playful whispers.

I wrote something for her today.
Tagged it up on the largest billboard I could find,
"There is nothing like a Mother's guilt; letting you know how much they've sacrificed
and how you need to match and exceed that just to gain their respect."

I wrote something for me today.
Something to remind myself that I'm more than they think I am.
Words to let me know there is more to this life
and to know it's alright to be who I was born to be.

I wrote something today
and I think this is it.

Anth nailed it the hardest. This is just so obviously you, and I loved it all the way down to the cockles of my heart. Maybe even below the cockles. Great stuff.

The uniform style of this piece is what makes it, in ways, so unique. The tone of this, it's like watching a machine operate, if that makes sense.. something you've repeated over in your head so many times that it grew monotonous..

..even though there's so much emotion attached.. I can't begin to voice how fucking great this is, Drea. But it is. It just is. I love you.
