4 in the morning,
as I lay down to sleep,
my worry overwhelming,
that it seemed to seep,
out of my mouth and my eyes,
and the pores of my skin,
clogging my heart and mind,
and my sleep would not begin,
so I rose from my bed,
and walked into the night,
with my eyes transfixed above,
on the stars and moonlight,
I calmed my body,
and calmed my soul,
for on me this worry,
had taken its toll.
So I lay down my head,
and instantly dreamed,
that I was searching for something,
for Beauty it seemed,
I marched over mountains,
and trudged through the marsh,
through the scorching summer heat,
and the winter so harsh,
I ran through the cities,
a wasteland of a place,
and I walked through the country,
with a cool breeze on my face,
when I ended my quest,
for Beauty unbound,
I had but to look in my heart,
and it was you I found.
