My eyes, they opened,
on this beautiful starry night,
my vision, amazed,
fixed on every prick of light,
my body, feeling numb,
from the blood spilled on the ground,
the heat, from the flames,
of the fire circled 'round,
the sound of the crickets chirp,
and the buzz of the waiting fly,
funny how nice the world seems,
now that i close my eyes to die.
