Psychedelic, neon studded simplicity at its best...

I've wandered...endlessly it seems...for
some knowledge I could never grasp before.
Ancient cities hold no meaning, like I
thought they would, they're just old...and the
current residents can't deal with the upkeep.

Digitally remastered, copyrighted free thought...

Meditation and search for the inner self...seems
to be only a way to keep the poor masses busy.
Most of the world's philosophies offer nothing,
that's why they're happily tossed away for pop
culture and mass marketed potato chips...they're
empty too...but at least they offer empty calories.

Fuzzy, warm and cuddly scorpions feeding an IV drip...

In some cultures...many based on my experience...it's
easy to mistake "not being direct" for true hospitality.
They aren't so much friendly, as too interested in your
money to tell you what they really think...they'd kill you
for the right price...and engage in willful ignorance when
daughters go "work" in the city...bars pay more than shops.

Deep, existential stiff drink charged to my room...

Hypocrisy's everywhere...no one has the patent on it...but
it's beautiful here and I'm having a blast with you, darling.
The world can burn with injustice, as long as I can wrap
my arms around you...and it's an interesting, friendly place...
but they can't teach us anything we don't already know.

i gotta say, this is pretty freakin neat... on the surface, it seems like such a jaded piece mellowed out by the ending stanza, but i think the last line is the real kicker here

casting off the philosophies and cultures and centuries of wise men and what not, not out of ego, but just simplicty and peace... it's all unneeded dross in the end anyway... like this much
