I enter a place where I am alone, solitude
Although completely surrounded by so-called people
With their burning glass souls and oh so empty eyes
Alone in a place where I can hide my sins and lies.
And I watch you stand there on the corner, dark
All alone with a dried crystal tear on your cheek
I reach out to grab your hand, and your shocked that I care
You wipe my own tear off my mountain of pain, touch so fair.
You paint me a picture, creating lasting illusions burnt in my mind
Only to soon be destroyed by splatters of red and black paint, alone
And I cry as you tell me not to love you, and no matter how hard I try
Nothing I can do will make you feel that your enough, you are ready to die.
So I paint you a picture of great imagery where we can go to be alone
The world around us stops with the simple touch of your hand upon mine
A world where stars dance across your eyes, our world can be what you want it to be
I paint you a picture, but you are gone, and I realize I am not enough for thee.
I destroy our picture, all the trees are dead, and the world no longer stops
And once again I enter my place of barren solitude, and yet again alone
And I see you on the corner so dark, with that same crystal dried tear upon your face
But this time when I reach out to you, your just a fantasy, an empty space.
