at 11:14 in between ozone holes and spiritual holes
all figments of my imagination
you sat across from me and told a cup of coffee
that you were seeing someone new.
it's not the behavior but the words that befuddle me
a straight line is the fastest way to heartbreak so
I threw a sandwich in your direction in the hopes that it could
satiate the obvious hunger you have to consume my soul.
you ate it so the all that remained where the crust, the only portion
where outlines of my fingertips remained.
You hate me against your own design and somedays I reciprocate that
back in your general direction.
someday i want to slap you and tell you that I love you aginst my
better judgement and then leave you to make peace with the piece that you have given me.
at the borderline of 3.5 pages and 5 inch margins
the earth has swallowed me once again and the coffee talks back
vomiting on the table you have left behind
the seat
the lies
the dreams i steal to brew the coffee i drink
I wish you could fade from my memory but tomorrow looms ahead with the impending doom that when you speak...i will be broken.
