a perfect man…
broken, shattered, bloody
reviled by all who claim the righteousness
granted to those who truly believe they are infallible

believed to be the opponent

but, in truth, leading the way
to a higher realm of consciousness
paid for by the blood and tears of innocence

the walk, so slow and deadly
cursed and spit upon by the very ones
who, just yesterday, begged and pleaded
to be remembered as one of the abandoned

interspersed throughout the crowd
every so often, a loving pair of eyes
crying with the enormity of the situation
realizing that they are witnessing the death
of just not a single man, but of the entire world

for retribution will come…

as the end neared, the sky blackened
and the very earth itself revolted against
the audacity of those committing this crime

when the end came
the very heavens lamented the passing
of the only one whose life held any meaning
for mankind will be saved, by grace, and not by
the actions taken today by men of inferior reputations

because of, and not in spite of
the horrendous dealings laid out by
those who thought they were saving an institution
mankind will now be saved because life had to be paid for

what better way to pay for that existence
than to have the very ones, in denial, create the scenario
that has been predetermined since the beginning of all ages

now, because of that life and that death
mankind has the opportunity to live
a perfect life, for all eternity

for nothing is as it seems
and the enemy is not in control…
