You seem kind of interesting
So I just wanted to find out your name
Maybe your state of mind
State of being
What you think
What you’re seeing

Cause like I said before
You remind me
Of a person
That I would like to get to know

Not that I’m flirting
(You have the sweetest smile)
Just curious if your mind might be compatible
With mine
Just to talk
Just talk

I’m wondering
Are oceans really as big as they seem?
I see them sometimes in your eyes
I mean
I hear the endlessness of the ocean in your voice
I mean
The ocean is pretty
Don’t you agree?

*pause*
*thought*

The day the earth stood still
I was spinning in circles
And the day my world died
I breathed the fresh air of eternity

And the day your eyes danced
I felt moved by the music held within them
And the day my heart stopped beating
Was the day you learned to play the drums

Now
If only
I wouldn’t
End

I want to dance with you in cold shadows
Warm my body with the moon
It’ll wash over me
Shine through me
Only the nocturnal creatures will sense the tune

*pause*
*thought*

In your eyes I dream a little
A little more each day
And in your heart I sing a little
Spheric rain in ashtrays

And in your arms I laugh a little
But I laugh less and less I fear
My dear, each day I die a little
And you’re so far away from here

And our secret complications
Aggravations feeding me
Degradations bleeding me
On your knees needing
Me

And each day I die a little
More and more I cry a little
Puffs of smoke, I sigh a little
Indisposed, I die a little

*pause*
*thought*

But I just thought
That I’d take this chance
To say hi
Cause
I mean
You don’t know if you don’t try
Right?

So maybe we can sit together and
Talk about the ocean sometime
Maybe sometime

Spheric rain in ashtrays<-- how cool is that... I like the restraint and recognition in the character while all these complicated feelings revolve around a simple event. *bear hugs* You always baffle me. :::OLd
