I look towards the forsaken sky
The menacing clouds look bleak
I don’t have any time to spare
I must find the phantom I seek
His appearance I never saw
His voice did never speak
I felt a chill when he came ‘round
This phantom that I seek
He stole away in the dark of night
Left me with only a frightful shriek
This thieve of thieves, stole my light
This phantom that I seek
I don’t sleep anymore
Although my body is growing weak
My mind is a bit more frenzied
Captivated by the phantom that I seek
I question every person that I see
Their answers always oblique
Seems no one wants to help a poor soul
Find the phantom that she seeks
I’m becoming more insubstantial
Feeling detached and antique
My pain I think is feeding
This phantom that I seek
I’m lost inside myself now
I feel much like a freak
Without my soul that he took
This phantom that I seek
