Before You Love Me

Before you love me
forever more
Remember who I am
and who I was before.

Before you love me
and might say it so
Remember I'm not perfect
and not all I know.

Before you love me
and make a mistake
Remember I might smile,
but inside I ache.

Before you love me
and give to me your all
Remember I stand firm
even when I fall.

Before you love me
and attempt a kiss
Remember when you leave
you'll leave me that to miss.

Before you love me
and have sparkles in your eyes
Remember I have sins
and scary giant lies.

Before you love me
or so you make believe
Remember I am young,
but I am not naive.

Before you love me
and swear it to above
Remember my past
and all those I have loved.

But if you do love me,
and you should say goodbye
Remember I'll remember you
and now and then I'll cry....
