While you were sleeping
I got to arrange the room
into some brighter zoom
of light...
At the other side
of the glassed window
there is a moon...
In between the
silence
there is a communication
more understood
than words.
And as you slept
I got to tell you
I was afraid of
what would happen next
when you opened your eyes
and the world was real again.
But your face
stood there in a peaceful
state...
You appear more brave
this way.
I am unseen
As you sleep...
Visible perchance
inside
one of the dreams
rushing
through your mind.
I can only guess
the image you have
of me right now....
Because what I see
staring back at me
is a boy
and a man
when caught up in my arms.
And I can't get to
truly close my eyes
so fully...
While you are sleeping
there is your own beauty
shining before me
there is your own beauty
you never get to see.
