Missed you
when I got to the point
of wanting to taste
a kiss from your lips
once more.

'Just one'...
I thought to myself,
to diminish
the desire
and lessen
the intensity
of my craving.

We stared at
each other
for so long
that night
that I thought
we'd weary
ourselves
out.

Your hands,
they seemed more sweaty
and I had trouble
in swallowing....
What I wouldn't give
to have said
"Kiss me as hard
as it takes."
And yet we parted ways.

Still, I missed you
when I found myself
laughing
at my silliness
of those days...
being in love
without knowing
the way out of it.
You'd panic
at my outbursts
and I'd place words
in your silences.

I missed you just today
when I took
his hand in mine
and came to sense
the strength you lacked,
but that I could
complement somehow.

The song it played
again.....
the one
that made us dance
to a slow bit
of shaded
moments of grace.

I missed you 'till
I got to where I
had more success
in smiling
and a brighter
face to show.....
There I lost myself
inside a minute
of wondering
what color would
you take form of
to complete
the picture of
myself.

Absolutely beautiful. I particularity liked the "Wondering what color" concept. Really enjoyed this one; thank you.
