While you sit you nod .. .
And I know
As you smile
You lie
Whatever is that you say
Your mouth can’t understand
And as you stutter
I know
We can never go back

A life we said goodbye to
You did before I could .. .
I held on to
All these years
With no reward
Watching you from far
My view only your eyes
Blurry as this fog…
And all I know
Is what you left behind
And all I cant take back

These hands
Have taken
Your mistakes
And the kisses you faked
The lips you cheated upon
Because all I could give to you
Is all you never could retain
The innocence, the bliss
All the things we later miss

While you sit you nod.. .
Yes you have the fault
Baby you do
For not loving yourself enough
To love me as you should
But I can’t hold you responsible for me
You see
The way you said my name
Made me weak inside
And I had all the blame

And while I stand I nod... .
In front of me are the things
I now could lose
You took too long to find the way
I led for you
This lonely road has blurred the view
For you to see again
The innocence, the bliss
That I myself retained
