Silver fingers caressing shadows fallen
Yesterday is laid to rest
Visions lace themselves together
I am reminded once again of you
Did I fail to read the subtext
Where there ever any lines
Late it seems to reflect upon these scenes
I gave you time to heal your wounds
Offering myself as a bandage
What else would you have me sacrifice
Keep your poor explanations
Weakness may have been my flaw
No more will you toy with me
Merrily I bring your swift reckoning
As much as these games tire me
Your warning you ignored
Did you think the flame would die
It licks upon your skin where kisses once played
That's it, inhale your fate in with the smoke
Sympathy will not shelter you now
The child in me dances with glee
Enough, you think this is enough
You thought because I don't cry I must not feel
My tears are saved to quench my own thirst
Yours will only add to my entertainment
I tire now of this game
The night, she is my partner in this secret
The morning sun will erase what I've done

a vertible moodswing of language....pendulum poetics, lovely slice of distasteful emotions; the last line is spot on

The lines you wrote were amazing. The entire poem had my full attention and has somewhat helped my writers block that I've had for half a year. Thank you for the inspiration. Wonderful poem.

beautiful - great symbolism * the child in me dances with glee * - sick and sweet
