Simplicity escapes my bleeding mind
My heart, a cave of forgotten pain
Why won’t my body remember it
When will I get my de ja vue?
When dusk becomes a part of me
When dawn is my messiah
Parting the tides of my evil past
Keeping my enemies at bay
How they wish to kiss my scars
How they wish to eat my pain
Swallow up my hollowed heart
Reach in and devour the rotten core
You need my blood lust to survive
You need me to just feel alive
I’ll swallow your empty bottle of hell
If you’ll remember me still, tomorrow
I’ll dance amongst the littered graves
I’ll sing the unwritten words
Just pledge to me your fevered heart
And all your plagues will be thus cured
Dance to your private song
Forgive me when I say no
For tomorrow is not my question
Thus the answer is still unknown.
