Beside me walks,
A living organism,
Characterized by voluntary movement,
The beast of non reason.
Caressing the walls of learning,
Incompered, silenced, incaged,
Under wings of dragons.
Good fortune bestowed. satisfied?
Never!
Vide infra. Streets of sin.
The wolves roamed the wild lands once.
freely. Did you hear the calling?
Of totem, struck by prayer,
Scholars lore!
Again the shadow feel,
Upon plains; Moist.

Unity of three,
Triangle of sisters.

Undertake the darklings of tommorow,
Teach them the learnings,
Ages of sorrow.

this is a challenging piece, i must say... i think i have to agree with sole; i also got a self-duality, multi-faceted essence somehow/where/within...

The hidden wonder...just because you don't believe in Magick...doesn't mean IT doesn't believe in you...a truly mystical piece. Leads to the inner core of universal thought. We are, It is.

Woah I hate commenting on poems saturated with comments... It just seems unfair but talent must be complimented... Deeper meanings plague this work and thought is provoked, always a good thing... Daunted I am by a talent i admire :)

Monkey, this is very pretty. I must say that you also have the writer's gift. A beautiful person makes beautiful poetry.

This is one of my favorites of yours, dear primate. It has the color and melody of beauty combined with the lore of a scholar... a very enjoyable combination.

I expect to see this in some kind of hidden chronicle of the future. A book of Nostradamus like passages of history and saddend hope of unrepeated actions and nature. Your writing is stunning. ~JMDW~

Monkey, you truely write poetry which makes me think, I see so much in this one piece of work, I see man's destructive touch on all living things, that humans try to control that which should never be controlled, , , O.

On Sunday January 11th, 2004, Ophelia (312) writes:
the referene to the unity of three brings to mind the weird sisters in Mcbeth and the way they predicted the future, the totem leads to ancient customs when the world was purer,

On Sunday January 11th, 2004, Ophelia (312) writes:
Scholars lore, the things written in books, is it not a book written by men is it lore of truth so many symbols of mankind through so many ceturies, am I looking to deep or am I just seeing what I want???

I'm struck by the beginning. (The whole damn thing is good, don't get me wrong.) And all I think is humanity, and then I suddenly note the irony in this written by one who calls himself "monkey". But maybe I'm just random. *giggles*.

...and then the cloaked man reached out with his bony hand "You are ready to become..." ... This is a peak, you nailed it with this.

A quote "And I hope they throw a stone at a window for me when im gone". Yea said before he went out of one himself. But it all remains, no matter the endings, and so I do not see this as a personal poem.

It is a rift in time, that cant be touched. And so you reached what the window jumper never did. Tiger
