A sun beam catches my eye.
You come from around the corner.
Another murmur, another distant voice.
A flash arises
and I blink to come back to reality.
Your mouth begins to move.
Yet, I cannot hear you,
because I'm caught.
Caught in a world between fantasy and reality.
I want to listen,
but my mind won't let me.
Purgatory is where I lay.
Anger.
Happiness.
I'm oblivious to all.
I want to stay here forever.
The warmth of my body to enwrap my heart.
Never having to face
the beginning of a new day.
Leave
me
where
I
lay.

Yes I like this very much. Can totally relate, and at any time of the day! (Early mornings in general are against my religion.) Seriously though, I have heard depression defined as "anger without energy". I think it's very true.
