i sighed
and opened my hand
and took their pills
so they would let me out of here
and it's true
what they said
all the craziness
went away
and that's good
i suppose....
but
everything else went too
out the window
i'm numb
completely
numb
who would've thought
such sweet looking
innocent
easter colored pills
would be
such powerful
drugs?
i see
nothing
and i hear
nothing
and i do
nothing
and i feel
nothing
and i'd say
that i'm ok with that
if i even felt
ok
but
i don't
i feel like a machine
i go through the motions
of humanity
and i'd be jealous
of they way they cry
and laugh
and rage
if i wasn't so damn apathetic
i sighed
and opened my hand
and took their pills
but when they let me out of there
i
think
they put me in a far worse asylum
the padded
room
of being
a
walking
breathing
semi-living
void
